Debbie was a member of PRO in 1991-1995 and then, again in 2005 until current. She was a registered childcare provider in 1991-1992, and she became certified (aka 'Group Home' ) and has been since 1992. She owned and operated a center, A's & Bee's Childcare Center in 1999-2001. She has been on the PRO Board of Directors since 2006. Her duties have included Board Secretary 2006-2007, and she is currently Board Chair.
She also served as the PRO Facilitator in the Tigard/Tualatin Chapter during 2006-07, and was the Tigard/Tualatin Chapter Co-Facilitator in 2007-08. She is level 6 on the Oregon Registry, and she is currently pursuing her CDA ( Child Development Associate ).
She is married, has 6 children, ranging in ages 5-22, and she has 1 grandchild. She has been doing childcare in the Tigard/Tualatin area since 1991. She enjoys being a part of the Provider Resource Organization, and she loves being a childcare provider!

Becky has been a PRO member since 2004. Her husband, David of 15 years is very supportive of her child care career. They have 2 wonderful daughters, Mikayla(10) & Monica (5). She has been a child care provider for 6 years, she got in to this to help support her family. She plans to work in family child care until she retires, she loves her job! She has been a Chapter Facilitator, and is very involved with the Gresham Chapter. She has amazing provider friends!
Without them she wouldn't be the provider she is today! She is very thankful that she was introduced to PRO, it has helped her grow and gain professionalism! With all the growth, she decided to upgraded her license to be a Certified Family Child Care in 2006. Since then, she has hired two awesome employees, and is very pleased with the direction her business has taken. She accepted the position as Co-Chair of the PRO Board, to help give back to other providers. She enjoys being part of improving quality child care in Oregon, and PRO definitely plays a big part in doing that! She thinks positive changes start with being a happy provider! Being involved with making a difference, is fun, fulfilling and makes me happy! She looks forward to being part of the team!

Misty has been a member of PRO since 2001, and she has been a Family Child Care provider since 2000. She has been on the PRO Board of Directors since 2007 as Membership Coordinator, and she has worked in child care since 1992. Misty has been married for 14 years and has one child, Aidan (6).

I have been in Child Care since 2000 have been a member of PRO for 3 1/2 years. I am currently the Faciliatator for the Beaverton Chapter and on the Board as Conference Co-Chair. I have 3 wonderful children 27-25-16 and have been married 1 1/2 years. Hobbies include reading & volunteering.

We all get in this busness for different reasons and for me it was to ease the financial burden off my husband on the birth of our 3rd child. That was November of 1987 and with the support of my husband of 30 years we have raised four children (27,24,22,17years) and doing child care has kept me home with them.
I have a CDA/Child Development Associate certificate in ECE/Early Childhood Education. I believe that life long learning is not only supportive but also a role model to children. That learning even when we are ‘old’ has many benefits,ha

These were terrific opportunities and I have learned much about the business of child care and the agencies we work with. When not at a meeting or on craigslist, my youngest daughter and I enjoy our horses. We have been involved in Equestrian 4H and currently in OHSET/Oregon High School Equestrian Team. There is a lot of therapy at a horse barn,ha.

Rosa was a register childcare provider for 2 years and became certified on 2006. She has been working in the childcare area since 1994; she has a Bilingual Child care/ Preschool. She enjoys being a PRO member since 2004. Rosa was a facilitator for the Hillsboro Chapter 2 (Spanish Chapter) 2006-2008.
Rosa has been happily married with her husband Jorge for 14 years, and has two children a 12yrs boy & 9 yrs girl. She is proud and thankful to have this great family that supports her all the time on her child care career, classes, trainings and volunteer what she does and have done.
She stared her education in Mexico City on the ECE (Early Childhood Education) field, currently has a CDA, Oregon Registry level 8 and continuing college classes pursuing her Associate degree in ECE.

Jan has been a member of PRO for 4 years. She has been in family child care for the past 17 years. Her PRO volunteer duties have included: Conference Chair for past 3 years, Co-chair during the year prior Raffle/Silent Auction committee...2nd year. She just recently joined the PRO Board as a Board Member. In addition to her Board responsibilities, Jan is also the co-facilitator of the Tigard/Tualatin PRO Chapter. Jan has 2 Grown children, 22 and 19...both boys. Her hobbies include knitting/crocheting, movies, and home improvements.

Denise has been a PRO member for 6 years. She was a facilitator for the Tigard/Tualatin chapter for 2 years. She is currently serving on the board. She was Co-Chair of the conference the last 2 years and is chairing the Conference with Jan again this year. She has been married for 30 years and doing childcare for the last 20. She has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

Tracy Avalon has been in PRO for at least 6 years. She currently volunteers as co-facilitator for the PRO Beaverton chapter, and she was previously Beaverton’s facilitator for 3 years. She is currently serving on the PRO Board of Directors. She is also on the Conference Committee each year. She has been married for 16 years, and she has 5 children, three of them step children. Her education level is Child Development Associates and level 7 with Oregon.

Suzanne started out caring for children in her home over 5 years ago as a way to earn money while staying at home with her own children. She loved it so much that she recently became registered in August of 2009. She has been a member of PRO for about 5 years. She is a board member as well as Website Liaison and Newsletter Editor. She has been married for 14 years and has 3 children, 20, 11 and 9.

Since 2006, Lorcinda has been a registered child care provider in La Grande. She has been a PRO member and Facilitator since 2008 and recently joined the Board of Directors to assist as a Facilitator Coordinator. Lorcinda is currently working her way towards a degree in Early Childhood Education and has attained Step 7 in the Oregon Registry. She enjoys applying her knowledge and experience by facilitating workshops at ECE conferences in Eastern Oregon. Lorcinda also finds time to serve on many steering committees that coordinate community events that benefit children. The developmental needs of children is her motivation for remaining in the field and she credits James, her husband of 10 years, for supporting her in all that she does. They have two children together, ages 4 and 7.
